In addition to serving our customers, Reading Cycles has been the honored shop partner and facilitators for the 2013 and 2015 Helping with Horsepower Program, a motorcycle rebuild project to support the Childrens Home of Reading.  This  very successful nationwide program and curriculum (created by founder Laura Klock of Klockwerks Motorcycles in South Dakota) was developed to encourage growth and self esteem to disadvantaged youths through a program motto of "REBUILD A MOTORCYCLE = REBUILD A LIFE !"   The amazing process . . . taking a motorcycle that was unwanted or had an unfortunate experience, adding the proper tools, skills  and guidance to provide a newly sculpted identity, and ultimately a shiny new successful future. Once completed, the motorcycle is raffled as a fundraiser to benefit the Children's Home of Reading.

Along with our committed customer volunteer group named Team Throttle;  we were pleased to help raise over $45,000.00 during the two rebuilds to benefit the Childrens Home!  <3
